No Peter Pan, but Jonathan

After his eighth album, Cosey started working on 'A la recherche de Peter Pan'. But then, the album Kate had an enormous success and won the 'Alfred' for Best Album at Angoulême: publisher Lombard wanted a new Jonathan album.

Colors

With the album 'Neal et Sylvester', Cosey leaves the coloring to Fraymond, a colorist he knew from the work done for Hermann.

Cosey: 'It was difficult for me to step out of my color palette, just because I felt so at ease with it. I think it is interesting to have a colorist from outside, because he will add  a new dimension to your work, without betraying it, as would be the case with a drawing assistant. But I always do my color work with much pleasure.'

Cosey has to admit that it was also a question of time and delays.

The cooperation with a colorist was continued in the next two Jonathans, when Paûle Ceppi was Cosey's colorist.

Slivno - Christo

The artist Slivno, the father of Neal, was modeled on the Bulgarian artist Christo, known for his wrapping of the Pont Neuf in Paris and the Reichstag in Berlin.

The work of art Slivno makes in the book was inspired on Christo's work 'Running Fence'.
