Welcome to The World of Cosey

In 1983 I discovered the work of the the Swiss comics author Cosey in the journal Tintin. 'A la recherche de Peter Pan' was published and I was immediately touched by the drawings, the colors as well as by the story. His stories and his wonderful drawings have made Cosey one of the outstanding comics authors in the world. He has shown and is showing to this day that comics are a separate, mature form of art. Cosey occupies his own special place among the world's comics authors, and I think he should also have a special place on the internet.

I started 'The World of Cosey' in 2002 with a few important objectives. First, I wanted to create the completest Cosey site on the web. Although I know my site is not 'complete' in an absolute way, I think it really is the completest on the web, especially the two parts 'Books' and 'Other works'.

Second, I wanted to get in touch with other Cosey-fans who could help me improving the site and expand my private Cosey-collection. Since 2002, I have met (on the web, that is) many Cosey fans, from Switzerland, France, the USA, Norway, the Netherlands and many other countries. Special thanks go to Bernard Matthey-Doret and Dinu Logoz. My choice to write the site in English has helped a lot in these international contacts, although I realise that English will inevitably exclude some (mainly French-speaking) Cosey admirers.

A third goal was to get in touch with Cosey himself. I was pleasantly surprised to receive an e-mail from him on 23 september 2006 with some very nice words about my site. Since then, we have had a few contacts, and we have worked together on the preview 'exposition' for the 14th Jonathan album.

I hope you enjoy my site!
