Nepal
On 25 april 2015, an earthquake struck in Nepal, with 8000 dead and many more people homeless. Geneva based publisher ‘Place du Sablon’ has released a collective album. Many comic artists, including Cosey, have drawn a page of this album. 56 pages for 25 euros, all proceeds go to the Red Cross to help the people of Nepal.
The web page ‘Place du Sablon’ doesn’t give much information, but you can find more information on their Facebook page.
Mickey by Cosey
Cosey is working on… Mickey. Publisher Glénat has given some of the best comic artists to give a new life to the old Mouse, like Loisel, Tébo and the trio Trondheim – Keramides – Brigitte Findakly. The album(s) will probably be released in 2016. Cosey has made an album of 60 pages.
During BDFIL 2015 (10 – 13 september 2015), 36 swiss comic artists (among whom, Cosey) wil participate in the project ‘S’il vous plaît, dessine-moi un Mickey’ (Please, draw me a Mickey).

Help Nepal
The association A.LI.EN is a non-profit organisation supporting projects with environmental or humanitarian goals. They work together with artists who are invited to the Festival BD of Solliès-Ville (28-30 august 2015). This year they support Nepal, hit by terrible earthquakes.
Among the artists in this project is Cosey, of course (next to Bilal, Juillard, Tardi and Zep). A.LI.EN publishes posters of each of these artists, 40 x 60 cm, 200 pieces numbered and signed. Each cost 40 euros.
Of the posters made by Bilal and Tardi, lithographies (black & white) have been made; 200 pieces numberd and signed, for 60 euros a piece.

Looking forward to 2015
The year 2014 was a quiet one for fans of the works of Cosey. But we can look forward to an exciting 2015.
In january already, Raspoutine and PerspectivesArt9 will celebrate 30 years of ‘À la recherche de Peter Pan’ with a collector’s album: large format with black and white drawings. The book will have extra pages in colour with sketches like the one above, of the aptly named ‘Dent Blanche’ (‘White Tooth’) in the swiss Valais (Wallis).
In autumn 2015, we may expect a brand new album (not a Jonathan album). Cosey is a discrete man, who doesn’t want to talk about his ‘work in progress’ – but for us, he wanted to disclose that the action of this new album will be in the USA.
A merry Christmas and a Happy New Year for all visitors to ‘The World of Cosey’!
Thanks to Cosey
