This poster by Cosey announces an exposition about… posters. The Chateau de Chillon will have an exposition about the history of swiss poster art. It shows posters of the Chateau de Chillon from the 18th century till now.

From 5 till 22 september, Galerie Champaka will have an ‘Celle qui fut’ exposition. I think the lovely gallery in Bussels will show original drawings and preparatory sketches, just like the previous expo , ‘Atsuko’.

From 14 july till 10 november 2013, the Museum Rietberg in Zürich (Switzerland) will have the exposition ‘Yaks, Yetis, Yogis – Tibet in Comics’. The exposition shows how Tibet has been a major source of inspiration for comic authors: a paradisical land, its wise monks (levitating or not), the abominable snowman, the dazzling heights…
The exposition was originally held in the Rubin Museum of Art in New York (‘Hero, Villain, Yeti – Tibet in Comics’). The exposition in Zürich will have original art of Cosey. During the Night of the Museums on 7 september, Cosey will discuss with comics expert Cuno Affolter.

Last year, Cosey won the prize for best album (for ‘Atsuko’) of the year during the Festival BD in Solliès-Ville. As a consequence, he will draw the poster for this year’s festival. On the Facebook-page of the Festival, they give away the poster bit by bit.
This is the image they use until the poster will be unveiled. It first appeared in the book ‘Portraits sous influence’, that was published in 2011 by Association Alien (but that I had completely missed).

In ‘Media Diffusion’ for August-September 2013, you can find a tiny preview of the cover for the new Jonathan album, both editions. The summary of the album is very promising!

200 comic authors are presented in this album published by Dupuis. In the book, an interview with Cosey and a comic (that was already published in 2009 in Sprirou 3704).
Click here to read all the comics (I found that the comics and the authors list do not work well together, but you will find it).

The swiss edition of the Journal de Spirou celebrates its 75th birthday this weekend. Saturday 1 june there are activities in Lausanne; among them the opportunity to meet some comics authors (Cosey is one of them) and have your albums signed.
This touristic tip is given by Cosey to readers of the special issue of the magazine (no. 3912 of 22 may).

From amazon.fr, we learn that the title of the next Jonathan album (number 16) will be ‘Celle qui fut’ (could be translated as ‘She that was’ or ‘It that was’, it depends on context). The album will be released on 6 september. Two different editions are announced, a normal and a ‘collector’ edition.

Last 4 may, Cosey was awarded the ‘Prix Diagonale – Le Soir’, the most important belgian prize for comics. Cosey won the prize for his entire career.
The ‘Prix Diagonale’ is a prize of the belgian newspaper Le Soir and the Fondation Raymond Leblanc (Leblanc was the founder of the Journal Tintin and Éditions du Lombard). The jury consists of comics authors, like Hermann, Jean van Hamme, Dany, Jean Dufaux.
If you want to sleep in the athmosphere of ‘À la recherche de Peter Pan’, you can spend a night in the chalet ‘Le BD’ of ‘Alpes et caetera’ in Vercorin (Switzerland, of course).
